This is the poster for Warsash Art Group' last  Annual Exhibition in 2019, featuring fused glasswork by Rachael Brown. The year before, the Group held its 60th Annual Exhibition. These were held at Warsash Victory Hall, where they were highly successful, showcasing the high level of artistic talent among our members.

We hope to resume these when we can, but we've sadly we then had to cancel two years running due to a combination of the Covid-19 pandemic and its related restrictions and uncertainties. Though there were no longer any restrictions in place come the due date in 2021, we currently do not have a full team. Planning for the show normally begins in January and the months of restrictions from January onwards prevented the team from meeting in person to plan the show in good time.

The Group's Committee made the firm, difficult decision to cancel in May, however. Pressures on their members' time and energy have meant meant WAG has emerged from year-and-a-half of the pandemic with some loose ends to tie up. Among them: no one told Hampshire Open Studios until late July: thank you to the member who brought this to our attention and for contacting HOS to delete our entry online, but it came too late for the paper edition of the HOS catalogue. If you are browsing that, please ignore entry 215 (us) and tell all your friends to avoid a wasted journey. They might like to visit the following HOS venues where some of our members will be participating:

Kay LePoidevin (venue 207), Ron Moody (209), Chris Lewis (232). Some of them are also involved with Solent Art Society (234), Lee Art Group (240) and Southern Nature Art (242).

There will also be a small exhibition featuring some of our members' and past members' work at St. Mary's Church Hall, Church Road, Warsash  during the weekend of the Flower Festival, 10th - 12th September marking the 150th anniversary of the consecration of St. Mary's Church (see News section of this site, you may need to scroll down).
